On December 3rd, Todd Cromack drove to Crocker Farm School with a pick-up truck loaded with bags full of donated coats, hats, jackets and gloves for those in need of the proper New England weather gear. Cromack, a silver-haired, benevolent member of the Amherst Lions Club organized the Lions Club component of the the Crocker Farm/Amherst Lions Winter Clothing Share, in conjunction with Erika Zekos and Michael Henry of the Crocker Farm School Parent Guardian Organization who manned the school's coat drive.

It was a rally for the masses, a huge mass of over 200,000 people ascended on the National Mall in Washington D.C. to attend the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear on the day before Halloween. Brightly colored signs, costumes, and smiles set the general atmosphere for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's collective effort one knows the exact purpose of the rally but the varying opinions usually come to the conclusion of some sort of media awareness.

Amherst Media extends a warm welcome to artist/photographer, Mike Lindwasser of New York, NY. Mike's photographs use a combination of extreme angles and long exposures to create a unique genre of photography. His lengthy exposures imbue his photographs with the vibrant colors of the daytime despite the fact that they were shot in the middle of the night. Tables of various shapes and usage spotted the lawn next to the massive tent. There were kitchen tables, coffee tables, end tables; some had nice smooth tops while others were scratched and worn from years of use. Rows of desks, couches and chairs lay under the large tent. A few wicker chairs had holes through the seat but were still marked at $20 or $25 apiece. Couches averaged from $150 to $300 each.
