On January 15, 2017, the Daily Hampshire Gazette published an article penned by staff writer Scott Merzbach regarding Amherst Media current status of providing services to the town of Amherst without a contract. AMHERST — Raising concerns that an adjustment to how Amherst Media gets its funding could diminish public access to the community, officials with the nonprofit are pressing for a new contract immediately.

Democracy Now! will provide special live coverage of the Inauguration on Friday, January 20 from 8am-3pm and the Women’s March on Saturday, January 21 from 10am-3pm. Amherst Media will air the programming in full on Channel 12.

The Rotary Club of Amherst has dedicated the funds from its 9th annual auction to support Amherst Media's campaign to build a new facility as it is forced out of its current Eversource-owned space which the community access center has occupied since 1991, as reported by Scott Merzbach in the Daily Hampshire Gazette.

Many cable subscribers have reported over the last two weeks that they are unable to access our channels any longer. This has been frustrating for them as they cannot watch programming that is important to them and frustrating for us as we cannot directly resolve the issue.
