Many cable subscribers have reported over the last two weeks that they are unable to access our channels any longer. This has been frustrating for them as they cannot watch programming that is important to them and frustrating for us as we cannot directly resolve the issue.
Comcast is making technical changes to their transmission signal, resulting in some outdated boxes being unable to receive certain channels. The only way to resolve this issue is by switching out the box. You must either bring the box to the Comcast service center or schedule a visit from a Comcast tech. You will not be charged for this, but it does require action on your part to resolve.
Comcast Customer Service can be reached at (800) 266-2278. The Customer Service Center is located at 160 Old Farm Rd, Amherst (off Rt 9 towards Belchertown).
