Funded through the Town of Amherst's Community Preservation Act Committee, The Jones Library was able to conserve several of its paintings. The event celebrated the return of the two most recently conserved pieces, Banks of the Marneby Paul Peraire and the frame for J.G. Brown's Red Riding Hood. Prior to the unveiling, the audience heard about the history of The Jones Library's Fine Arts Collection from Cynthia Harbeson, Head of Special Collections, and the history of frames from Tatiana Shannon, Conservation Assistant, followed by talks by art conservator, Joseph Matteis, and frame conservator, William Myers, on their restoration efforts.
