Community Forum on Downtown Amherst

Residents of Amherst, would you like to voice your opinions on how to improve downtown town center?

On June 29th, from 6-8PM in the Woodbury room of Jones Library, the Amherst Select Board, Planning Board, and Town Manager will host a community forum to identify and discuss issues related to the town center.

 The Town's press release states:

We want to hear from everyone – residents, business people, workers, walkers, bicyclists, movie-goers, library patrons, shoppers, visitors – whoever you are – about what works and what doesn’t work in our downtown.  What do we love and what needs to be improved?  Is the downtown the right size?  What’s missing and what needs fixing?  Do we have enough places for people to live, gather, play, dine, shop, work? Do we have enough green space?  Do we like our sidewalks?  What about the Town Common?

More information is available on the town's website.
