MEETING TIME: 4:00 pm. LOCATION: Town Room, Town Hall. LIST OF TOPICS: Joint meeting of the Select Board and Finance Committee with the Town Manager and Finance Director to hear an overview of the FY17 Municipal Budget Proposal, with questions from board members and answers.
Select Board members are part-time Town officials and do not maintain regular office hours. The Select Board's Office, on the Mezzanine Level of Town Hall, is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Select Board usually meets twice a month on Monday evenings, and more frequently as necessary. Regular meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Room of Town Hall and the Select Board meets at 6:00 p.m. before most sessions of Town Meeting in the Music Room at the Amherst Regional Middle School.

The bylaws of the Town of Amherst require the Finance Committee "to investigate all proposals in the articles of the warrant for any town meeting that shall in any way affect the finances of the town and to recommend to the town... a course of action thereon, and in general to make recommendations to the town in regard to any financial business of the town."
