Our College Street Location Officially Closes

Information about our move, interruptions and continuation of service, and our temporary location as we begin to build our new home.

Dear Community Members & Interns,

It is with heavy yet ambitious hearts that we close the doors to our long-time home at 246 College Street. Amherst's community has certainly used that space to its fullest extent, covering programs about local artists, activists, history, and events throughout the decades. Amherst Media members have used this space to congregate, to celebrate, to honor, and to build connections amongst the beautiful diversity of our community. We've had countless staff members who have left long-lasting marks on this organization, and we thank everyone who contributed to making Amherst Media what it has become today.

But when one door closes, another opens.

We greatly anticipate welcoming you to our new space at 101 University Drive, Suite B4 (second floor). We look forward to continuing to serve the Amherst Community by providing coverage to local government and events, as well as continuing to be a hub for vital information about our town.

This is a temporary space we will be occupying while our building on Main and Gray is being built.

During our moving process, our servers will be unplugged and we will not be able to provide our regularly scheduled programming to our three channels (12, 15, and 17 in Amherst), nor to our live stream on our website. This also means that the broadcasts of 'Classic Arts Showcase' and 'Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman' will be suspended until we have been reconnected to cable at our new location.

Town meetings, including Amherst Town Council, Amherst Finance Committee, Amherst School Committee, Amherst Regional School Committee, and Amherst Planning Board, will continue to be broadcast live on our YouTube Channel, and will be available to rewatch immediately.

During this time we are not taking on new projects, we will not be hosting open workshops, members will not have access to computers, and the podcast station will not be available to reserve.

We anticipate being up and running again by July 10th.

We thank you, again, for your patience during our time of transition and we can't wait to see you at our new location!
