Claire Healy is a newsroom copy aide at The Washington Post. Before joining The Post, she was a contributor for the U.S. News & World Report, a news anchor for Amherst Media and an assistant editor for the Massachusetts Daily Collegian. She is founder and editor in chief of the multilingual international magazine the Open (theopenintl.org).
University of Massachusetts at Amherst, BA in Political Science
Rebecca has had many hobbies throughout her life, including Irish Dancing and making art, but discovered her true passions are learning about people’s lives and telling stories that inspire others.
While in college, Rebecca interned at Amherst Media, a community television station, and WGBY-TV, Springfield’s PBS affiliate. She also worked as a campus news and broadcast news editor at Amherst Wire, an online magazine publication at UMass.
Rebecca was born and raised in Chicopee, Massachusetts, but is excited to call the Tri-States home. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching true crime documentaries, and catching sunsets on the Mississippi River.
